Hyundai Lounge Editions Bring Rear-Seat Entertainment and New Styling to Creta, Alcazar and Creta Electric

Hyundai Motor India has introduced new Lounge Editions for three of its popular SUVs — the Creta, Alcazar and Creta Electric — with the focus firmly on passenger comfort and a more premium cabin experience.
The biggest addition across the three Lounge Edition models is an 11.6-inch rear-seat entertainment system. The feature is designed to give passengers in the back row a dedicated screen for entertainment during longer journeys.
The new editions also receive visual changes aimed at distinguishing them from the regular versions. Hyundai has introduced a Golden Bronze exterior colour, complemented by black styling elements.
Inside the cabin, the Lounge Editions receive exclusive upholstery and additional ambient-lighting treatment, giving the SUVs a more upscale appearance.
The Creta Lounge Edition is positioned as the most accessible model in the new special-edition range. Its price starts at ₹19.21 lakh ex-showroom and goes up to ₹20.45 lakh, according to launch information.
The Alcazar Lounge Edition is priced between ₹21.80 lakh and ₹21.95 lakh ex-showroom. As a three-row SUV, the Alcazar is particularly suited to the Lounge Edition's emphasis on rear-passenger comfort.
The Creta Electric Lounge Edition completes the line-up, with prices ranging from ₹24.34 lakh to ₹25.22 lakh ex-showroom.
Rather than introducing major mechanical changes, Hyundai's approach with these editions is centred on equipment, styling and the passenger experience.
The new rear entertainment display is likely to be particularly relevant for buyers who regularly travel with children or passengers on longer highway journeys.
The Golden Bronze paint combined with black exterior elements gives the three SUVs a more distinctive appearance without changing their underlying design language.
The interior treatment follows the same strategy. Exclusive upholstery and ambient lighting are intended to make the cabin feel more like a premium lounge than a conventional SUV interior.
The new editions build on an already feature-rich Hyundai portfolio. The regular Creta, for example, is available with features including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging and, on higher variants, Hyundai SmartSense Level 2 ADAS. (Hyundai)
The Alcazar continues to be offered with both six- and seven-seat configurations, along with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains and multiple transmission choices. (Hyundai)
The Creta Electric, meanwhile, is offered with 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery options, depending on the variant, and comes with features such as a 10.25-inch digital cluster and infotainment system. (Hyundai)
This makes the Lounge Editions more of a premium equipment package than a conventional facelift or powertrain update.
For Hyundai, the move also gives the company an opportunity to target buyers who are willing to pay extra for comfort and entertainment features without moving into a completely different luxury-SUV segment.
However, buyers should note that ex-showroom prices do not represent the final on-road cost. Registration, insurance, taxes and other charges vary by location and can significantly increase the amount payable.
With the Lounge Editions, Hyundai is effectively positioning the rear passenger experience as a selling point across its petrol, diesel and electric SUV ranges.
